After a catastrophic hail storm that covered most of west central Georgia in 2009, a long-time friend and general contractor specializing in commercial and high-end residential construction called me for help. He was getting numerous calls for hail damage repairs and he asked me if I would organize his business to be able to handle those types of jobs. I did so, and in the process, found that I was very good at working with customers and insurance companies and averaged greater than a 25% increase in coverage because of my obsession with detail. We were able to do so much more for the customer at little or no cost to them that I sometimes joked about feeling like Santa Clause.

I had retired from my first profession and found retirement boring, so, when calls for hail damage repairs slowed down, I founded Storm Reconciliation Consultants of Georgia, LLC. It was a slow start for a new company, and I soon realized that, if it were to survive, we had to expand to non-insurance related repairs and renovations. Since then, through referrals of great customers and the efforts of talented sub-contractors, we have continued to grow and expand our scope of work.

We are a local company with a commitment to quality work and lasting relationships. Repairing damage to a home or even doing renovations are tasks most people know very little about. Underlying damage such as rot and mildew are generally unnoticeable to the untrained eye.

“What contractors do I chose and how do I know they will do a good job? How do I know I can trust them in my house? I don’t have the time or expertise the fix these repairs or stay home and watch someone else fix them.” These are questions everyone has when they find their most valuable possession damaged due to a storm, water leaks, fire or other event.

We learned a long time ago that the best measure of an individual or company’s integrity, dependability and skill can always be found in what they have shown in the past. We encourage our customers to check our references as well as those of other contractors they may be considering. We are willing to provide you with a long list of previous and current customers, so you can pick at random any you might wish to contact for a reference.
